Anvil tops from afternoon thunderstorms advance southeast, revealing a crisp sunset and red dusk illuminating the anvil canopy. Not pictured, but perhaps only something you'd have to imagine, are amateur fireworks being launched in every direction and 10,000 fireflies below all of this scene.

that's a great shot there. I'm hoping to get some pictures of thunderstorms as they develop today :3 they probably wouldn't look as awesome as this though xD

Thanks! and Good luck. These storms were no less than 90 miles away. The huge perspective of the image (about 300 degrees, probably makes it look like everything is a bit closer.) This scene happened on a day that I had given up on a storm chase, so keep looking up!
